Hey folks, In my following page, I will provide to you a summary of the resources I have collected in class regarding assessment and what I have learned based on my experience from the past and my experience today.  In the Growing Success  document, we used a jigsaw method and were divided into 6 groups where we covered the chapters from 1-6 in the document. Hey guys, I just wanted to share my last post with you about how to save money when backpacking to Europe. Here are some general tips on saving money in Europe that I gathered.  Picnic –  This continent has a lot of little tiny shops where you can be pre-made sandwiches or ingredients to make your own. Buy some food, eat outside, and watch the city go by. It’s a much more enjoyable and cheaper way to eat rather than eating out everyday. Eat local and cheap –  Not into picnicking? That’s ok, there are other ways to save money on food. Eat a local sandwich shops, pizza parlors, Maoz, Wok to Walks, outdoor street vendors, and the like. Avoiding restaurants and eating at a lot of the local “grab n’ go” places will give you a taste of the local cuisine at a much cheaper price. Hey guys, Check out this storyline a written by Satoshi Kitamura, who is read by one of the main characters from Lord of the Rings! The children's story is about a spell that was inadvertently casted on a boy and his cat. The two have switched bodies! The boy acts very much like a cat, which is quite silly as you might think. Well, I personally thought the story is humorous as it was told through the boy’s mind that is tuck in the cat’s body. Now you can only imagine how silly that mind sound to younger kids! He spends the day making mistakes since he doesn’t know the rules a cat is supposed to follow. By the next day, they have returned to normal, but somebody else is very different.  This text is intended for young readers for audience around ages 4 to 8. The concept is simple and laughable. Children possibly wonder what it would be like to be a cat (or other animals) for the day and this book would stimulate those thoughts and keep their imagination and creativity going. ...

Living out of a backpack doesn’t lend itself to a stylish & extensive wardrobe. so, of course, you may have guessed it already that probably having 2 pairs of pants, 2 pairs of shorts, 8 t-shirts, 2 tank top shirts, and a sweater, the next question is usually “what do you do about laundry?” Actually it’s surprisingly easy to keep everything clean. There are 3 different laundry techniques I use with great success: The Sink Wash Approach: this method is pretty simple. Just fill up the sink, throw in some soap or detergent and then just wash your clothing using your hands. This can be done anywhere where you have a sink, and probably can do it if your couch surfing. The Coin-Operated Procedure: Pretty explanatory based on its title. Find the local's laundry machine. Today was another fun engaging class where we got to work more closely with our Genius Hour project by adding more slides on PowToons. Based on my topic today, I did some research in regards to beginning to start saving NOW, today, as soon as possible! Planning a long backpack trip can be a daunting task especially under a student budget. Where do I begin? What’s step one? What’s step two? What’s step three? It’s easy to get overwhelmed in the beginning, especially when I haven’t done something like this before. So, based on my research, I learned that time is important to start saving! I read that it is important to write down all my current expenses so you can determine where you are spending money and how I can cut back. People bleed a lot of money every day through small purchases: that bottle of water, the dollar for that snack, that extra coffee. Hello fellow explorers, I am so excited to start blogging about my upcoming adventures in all my classes with you! My name is May Ghalib, and I am a recent graduate from Brock University with a Kinesiology degree. Now you are probably curious to why a Kinesiologist is in teachers college? Well, I decided to start a new journey to my life and follow my true passion working with children. I worked in a physiotherapy and did not really enjoy it as much as I thought, as a lot of the work was very repetitive and dry.
